Nearly finished with front cover
I have changed the font of the cover lines because they were too simple and boring. The masthead also has a white outline, as it didn't stand out before because it blended in with what my models were wearing. I have also added a price, a barcode and a PQ code; which will allow the audience to download the music of whoever is on the front cover for free. Lastly, I have put a ' 100th issue' sticker on the front cover because it was too plain and also after researching some other elements that music magazines have and I applied it to my own.
New contents page (work in progress)
I have decided to do my contents page over two pages instead of one because I realised that it lacked the conventional features of a contents page (e.g Regulars). So this is what I have so far...

More work done to front cover
I have changed the main cover line; removing the background shape to make it look more realistic because it looked out of place and took away from the main image.

Front cover progress
I managed to move the masthead onto photoshop, add the main cover line, change/edit the colour of the photo and add a skyline.

Studio photos
I think my photoshoot went quite well, although one of my models didn't turn up meaning I had to find someone else; which was OK because he fit in well with the overall look.

Photoshoot
This was the layout of my photoshoot. I made sure that The reflectors were facing away from the backdrop, along with the soft boxes. This was so that I could have a darker background, with a grey colour instead of white.

Masthead Ideas
Here are two ideas for my masthead that I came up with when practising using Adobe Illustrator. I have learnt how to draw texts, change the position of individual letters, fade colours and add graphics.
